Bill Swadley - Bio

Bill Swadley is a writer and financial wizard living in Los Angeles who spends his days masquerading as Director of Finance for a major Hollywood studio.

Bill has spent the last 25 years working at every level in the entertainment industry from on-the-ground film crews when he was first starting out to his current executive position, before which he worked for a combined total of 10 years in entertainment finance. He has a degree in English from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and is considered a Shakespeare aficionado.

Bill spends his weekdays crunching numbers while listening to NPR and making frequent forays into the blogesphere to make sure he is up-to-the-minute on breaking news. Other hobbies include economics and acquiring vast amounts of useless information. He is always proud to tell you that he predicted both the Dot-com bust and the current housing train-wreck years before they each occurred. He is overjoyed that the United States is once again on the road of righteousness and has never in his life been more proud to be an American than at this time.

Bill has written a dozen screenplays and saw his first play, North Beach, produced a few years back.  He wrote his Oscar acceptance speech when he was in his 20’s and still plans on delivering it one day.
